No-show and Late cancellation policy;
Whilst we understand that emergencies can occur that may mean you cannot attend your appointment, each no-show or late cancellation represents a loss of revenue that we cannot recover.
It is the policy of Harvey’s Pet Grooming to request that you give us a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if you wish to cancel or amend an appointment time. This is to allow us time to offer the appointment to another customer.
You will receive an appointment reminder 72 hours before your appointment to allow you to give us this notice should you require.
In the event of a cancellation at less than 48 hours before the appointment time or if you do not attend your appointment (no-show) then the full appointment charge is payable in full. A payment link will be sent to you via SMS/Email which should be paid within 24 hours.
You will not be offered a new appointment with Harvey’s until this charge is paid and we will also share this information with other local dog grooming salons. We will also pursue the outstanding balance via a collection agency if necessary.
General policies;
1) Your pet is fit, healthy and in receipt of proper veterinary care. Grooming of sick or elderly pets is entirely at the owner’s risk. Grooming may expose underlying skin or health problems for which we cannot be held liable
2) The safety of your animals is our top priority. They are, however, accepted at the owner’s risk. In the event of injury or illness a vet may be called and, unless we are liable, all costs in connection with and in the carrying out of this instruction shall be at the owner’s expense.
3) Payment will be due on collection of your pet in accordance with our current price guide. Final price will depend upon the amount of work carried out and also the temperament and behaviour of your pet. If you require a firm final price, please ask for an estimate or quotation prior to grooming.
4) Shaving of pets to remove matted coat will only be carried out with your consent. It must be clearly understood and agreed that the process may dramatically change the pet’s appearance. It may also cause a short term “clipper rash” and expose pre-existing skin complaints for which we cannot be held liable. We may also levy a small "matting fee" in this respect, to cover the cost of sharpening our equipment which may become dulled due to removing excessive matting.
5) Appointment reminders will be sent to you via text or email. We may also text when your pet is ready. We will never disclose your details with a third party.
6) Photos of your pet may be taken and used for display and marketing. We will never Identify your pet or sell the photos. You have the right to request that we do not use your pet's images in our marketing.
7) You are free to opt out of text and email marketing at any time. Simply let us know.
8) We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue grooming an animal that presents a risk of injury to itself, other animals, or a member of staff or public. In this instance we may still request full payment for an abandoned grooming appointment due to aggression.
9) We will not tolerate threats to our safety from pets or owners, and retain the right to refuse service if we deem the behaviour of either pet or owner to be aggressive, threatening, bullying or insulting in any way.
By booking your appointment with Harvey’s Pet Grooming you are agreeing to the above terms and conditions of our business.
In the event that you are unhappy with our work, please contact us to discuss within 48 hours of your appointment time to arrange a return to the salon where we will do everything we can to rectify anything which is reasonably the fault of the salon. This would be free of charge.
Please note that if you contact us after this 48 hour time period we will not accept any further responsibility for the groom and you will not be offered a reparation appointment.
