Professional Pet Grooming in Carnforth

We are open from 9am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, and we also open on selected Saturdays (Caturdays) solely for the salon grooming of cats. We are closed on Sundays.

Every dog is different, but most breeds benefit from professional grooming every 6–8 weeks. Long-haired breeds such as Cockapoos, Cavapoos, Cocker Spaniels and Shih Tzus often need more frequent grooming to prevent painful matting and keep their coats healthy. During your appointment, we'll recommend the ideal schedule for your dog's breed and lifestyle.

Most appointments take between 1½ and 2 hours, depending on your dog's breed, coat condition, size and temperament. We work on a one-to-one basis wherever possible, so your dog isn't left waiting unnecessarily.

A full groom typically includes:

Yes. Many dogs that visit Harvey's are nervous, elderly or visiting a groomer for the first time.

We take our time, work patiently and always put your dog's welfare first. If your dog needs extra reassurance or regular breaks, we're happy to accommodate them.

Yes. We recommend introducing puppies to grooming from around 12 weeks of age, once they've started their vaccinations.

Yes.

We are fully qualified in professional cat grooming and offer grooming for both long-haired and short-haired breeds, including de-shedding, hygiene trims, lion clips and mat removal where appropriate.

We also provide mobile cat grooming in selected areas.

We offer gentle, non-invasive ultrasonic teeth cleaning using the Emmi-Pet system, helping reduce plaque, freshen breath and improve oral health without sedation.

Most dogs settle better without their owners present. We'll contact you as soon as your dog is ready for collection.
